Woke up yesterday to the first snowfall upstate! It’s getting me excited for cozy winter activities and warm fires in my wood burning stove. I’m officially out of my apartment on January 1st, so it’s been a busy few months of traveling back and forth between here and the city. Although I am sad to leave my neighborhood of nine years, I can’t wait to finally feel settled and check of the long list of projects on my to-do list. Speaking of, I almost finished furnishing my living room! Posted a reel today with the reveal. I just need a coffee table and some pops of color, but it’s nearly there.

Thanksgiving is next Thursday, one of my favorite holidays! Any excuse to lounge around with family and eat yummy food is a great day in my book. When it comes to Thanksgiving appetizers, there are many options to serve. You can lean into the heavy apps and serve up a big cheese plate before the meal, or stick with smaller bites to save room for dinner. I posted some small bite inspiration in my past two newsletters, so today I wanted to dive into a decadent plate that will not only taste delicious, but acts as a nice colorful tablescape detail as well!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
1 - CHEESE: Sharp Cheddar, Gruyère
2 - MEAT: Salami, Coppa
3 - PRODUCE: Dried Apricots, Raspberries, Dried Figs, Blood Oranges
4 - CRUNCH: Fruit and Nut Crackers, Spiced Pecans
5 - DIP: Honey
6 - GARNISH: Chamomile Flowers, Pomegranate Seeds
Rattan Basket Platter // Radish Dish

CHEESE PLATE TIPS:
Pre-slice the cheddar into triangles and rustic crumbles, slice the gruyère into rectangles. This makes for easy serving!
Set a color palette to work with. Here I have warm tones like orange, pinks and browns to resemble a Thanksgiving mood board.
Add in decorative touches to elevate the plate, like a woven board or cute radish ramekin.
Serve additional crackers on the side!
PAIRINGS:
Cheddar + Salami + Dried Apricots
Cheddar + Dired Figs + Honey
Gruyère + Coppa + Honey
Gruyère + Raspberries + Honey
As always, a playlist for to match your cheese plate theme. Here’s a Thanksgiving mix with some upbeat and cozy tunes to make you feel at home.
