Writing to you on my 8-hour flight home back to New York City. I just spent the last four days in the countryside for my friend’s wedding. We all stayed in a classic chateau near Beaune (in the Burgundy region) and it felt like something out of a movie. The French really do it right. Every morning we had a cheese plate with breakfast, featuring some of the most incredible cheese I’ve ever tasted. There was also a massive cheese and charcuterie plate served at the afterparty for a late night snack. I think I need to host my hypothetical future wedding in France for this reason alone.
