The Grazing Table Guide
plus, hudson valley hot spots
Hello hello hello! Time has escaped me and I’ve been slacking on the newsletter front, I hope you all are enjoying the start to summer. I found fresh strawberries at the farmstand the other day and it gave me hope that maybe this warm weather will stay. I’ve been venturing to and from the Hudson Valley to NYC a lot lately, partially for work and partially for fun, and I’ve been cranking through audiobooks. Just finished Yesteryear and Famesick (like every other girlie) both which I enjoyed, and open to more suggestions!

HUDSON VALLEY TRAVEL GUIDES
One of my favorite hobbies is truly just bopping around to restaurants, bars, shops and hikes, and I have an insane Google Maps list of over 300+ places in the Hudson Valley that I adore. There are so many creative people here who’ve built some amazing spaces, and because this is still such a seasonal / vacation destination place, they deserve all the love they can get. Hopefully my lists inspire you to come visit and support these local businesses! I’m planning to share more every few weeks on my Instagram.

THE GRAZING TABLE GUIDE
One of my frequently asked questions is, “do you cater?!" On the surface, it seems like a natural request for someone who creates cheese boards and recipes for a living, but I learned pretty quickly that content creation and catering are two very different worlds. While I love putting together an elaborate grazing table for a crowd, I’ve never had the infrastructure or full-time team needed to make catering a core part of my business. In the past, whenever I decided to come out of grazing-table retirement for an event, it felt like a major undertaking with questionable amount of stress.
Recently, I’ve gotten much better at asking for help (growth!) Between that and the many events I’ve hosted this year, I’ve developed a system that allows me to pull off a few large-scale spreads without feeling like I’m personally responsible for feeding an entire village. The secret is a highly organized list. I’ve been refining my shopping list for some time now, and it’s the perfect amount for a crowd of up to 100 people. The list might seem intense, but most of the table supplies you can purchase once and reuse!
